As part of a strategic initiative supported by the World Bank, Lattanzio KIBS is promoting the creation of women-led businesses in Uzbekistan, strengthening economic independence within rural communities
A project for women's empowerment in rural areas
Lattanzio KIBS contributes to the implementation of the Second Rural Enterprise Development Project in Uzbekistan, funded by the World Bank. The project aims to support female entrepreneurship in the most vulnerable rural districts, with a special focus on women living in economically challenging conditions.
Spanning a period of 36 months and structured in five six-month cycles, the initiative involves the creation of Women Livelihood Groups (WLGs) within local communities (mahallas). These groups receive targeted training, support in developing business plans, and assistance in accessing grant opportunities, followed by mentorship programs to help them launch and manage their new businesses.
