On 15 July, we took part in the ninth stop of the institutional tour, dedicated to presenting the territory's Area Strategy

A stop in the heart of the Lombardy mountains

Lattanzio KIBS continues its work in support of the project to implement the Inner Areas Strategies under the 2021-2027 programming cycle. This is the ninth stop of the institutional "Lombardia Autentica" tour, which this time reached Valle Brembana and Valtellina di Morbegno: 62 municipalities across the provinces of Bergamo and Sondrio, attended by the President of Regione Lombardia, Attilio Fontana, and the Regional Councillor for Local Authorities and Mountain Areas, Massimo Sertori. The Region has mobilised over €15 million for 17 development interventions through the "Counter-Exodus Agenda" programme, built together with local authorities to counter depopulation and strengthen proximity services.

As with previous stops, Lattanzio KIBS took part in the day, supporting Regione Lombardia's Directorate General for Local Authorities in the implementation, monitoring and governance of the Strategy: day-to-day work that ensures allocated resources translate into concrete results, in line with the development priorities agreed with local authorities.

Four stops across the territory

The day began in Morbegno, with a visit to the Emporio Sociale for the presentation of HUB SOLIDALE, the future Integrated Service Centre designed to support families in difficulty across the local area. The delegation then moved to Traona, at Palazzo Parravicini, for the official presentation of the Area Strategy "A Step That Unites: Valle Brembana and Valtellina di Morbegno Towards Pathways of Regeneration and Community Innovation," followed by a press briefing.

In the afternoon, the tour crossed the San Marco Pass to reach the Bergamo area: in Piazza Brembana, the intervention on the former Luigi Selmo colony was presented, which will become a multi-purpose space for public activities through an energy requalification project; finally, in Oltre il Colle, the Monte Alben project will transform a disused former hotel into a new hub for outdoor sport and tourism.

From housing to welfare, from jobs to tourism: the Strategy's four thematic areas describe a territory that does not simply endure depopulation, but responds to it with concrete, shared projects.
