Today, the Municipality of Moncalieri presents its new Action Plan for Inclusion and Gender Equality. A strategic, participatory, and concrete project designed to build a more inclusive, fair, and cohesive city
A new social model takes shape in Moncalieri
A cultural revolution is beginning in this city just outside Turin. After seven months of dialogue, collaboration, and shared planning, with the valuable support of the Lattanzio KIBS team, which has accompanied the Municipality throughout the entire process, Moncalieri officially presents its Action Plan for Inclusion and Gender Equality to all its stakeholders, including institutions, associations, citizens, and local organizations.
The Plan is the result of a collective effort that involved schools and local services, creating a true civic alliance aimed at transforming needs, visions, and proposals into concrete actions, making equality a driving force for well-being and urban development.
Seven concrete actions for an inclusive city
The Plan has been designed around three main pillars: Culture and Information, Education and Training, and Prevention and Services. It is articulated into seven key projects, developed in synergy with the local community.
Among these are “SAY IT RIGHT,” for institutional communication free from stereotypes; “YOU, THEM, AND OTHERS,” which strengthens the educational alliance among schools, families, and the community; and “18+,” a program to support young adults in developing autonomy and civic awareness. There are also innovative initiatives such as “LIVING TOGETHER,” an inclusive co-housing model, and “THE SENTINELS,” a network of trained volunteers capable of identifying vulnerabilities and directing people to appropriate services.
The Plan is a dynamic, evolving tool, designed to ensure a lasting impact through a participatory governance model.
