The Ministry of Justice, through the Department of Penitentiary Administration, manages the Italian prison system and ensures the proper treatment of inmates.

To enhance the training of prison police supervisors, the e-learning course “Inmates' Rights in the Constitutional System” was developed. This course, part of distance learning, aims to provide an in-depth understanding of inmates' rights and the constitutional regulations that govern them.

More details

The e-learning course consists of five main modules, each focused on key aspects of inmates' rights within the Italian legal system. Beginning with the definition of punishment, it explores its functions in relation to retribution and prevention principles, examines the evolution of constitutional guarantees from the 1930 Penal Code to modern regulations, and concludes with an analysis of the penitentiary reform of Law No. 354 of 1975. With a well-defined storyboard, Lattanzio KIBS handled the graphic design, professional voiceover, and debugging to ensure an optimal learning experience.

Project Impact

Lattanzio KIBS’ support enabled the Department of Penitentiary Administration to provide advanced and specialized training. The inclusion of this course optimized training resources and contributed to fostering a more informed and legally compliant management of penalties and security measures.
