Lattanzio KIBS supports IOM and UNDP in project to improve organizations' capacities and living conditions at local level

In response to local post-pandemic economic challenges and government restrictions, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) support a project to strengthen civil society organizations in Libya, focused on improving local living conditions.

More details

Lattanzio KIBS was responsible for developing e-learning modules and translating the training materials of the capacity building programme, jointly developed by IOM and UNDP, for civil society organisations into English and Arabic.

Among the topics of the modules, made available through a highly interactive e-learning platform in several languages, were project and financial management, organisational development and best practices for implementing the entire project cycle.

Key features of the training course delivered by Lattanzio KIBS include:

  • User management for administration to track user registration, progress and engagement
  • Generation of customised certificates after course completion
  • Ability to use the training course in low-bandwidth internet environments, with preference for full offline access to materials
  • Possibility to integrate synchronous or asynchronous activities in the same platform, enabling future blended learning options
  • Materials accessible and usable from multiple devices

Project Impact

The current context is characterised by economic difficulties that individuals and local communities are facing, exacerbated by the devastating impact of Covid-19 and the necessary government restrictions.

Lattanzio KIBS is committed in this context to promoting the capacity building of civil society organisations in Libya. The ultimate goal is to promote the public interest through a democratic process that mediates between public authorities and citizens, contributing to the development of local livelihoods.
