Mapping child protection systems in the EU.

Lattanzio KIBS alongside the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) in updating and expanding the FRA-led mapping of child protection. The main objective of the research is to support the development and strengthening of integrated child protection systems in order to encourage member states, authorities and relevant services to work together by putting the needs of the child at the center.

In detail

Specifically, the service is concerned with:

  • updating and expanding the information provided in 2014 through research supplemented by consultations with representatives of relevant national, regional and local authorities;
  • the completion of the model with data and information to enable sound comparative analysis;
  • the identification of legislative and policy gaps and challenges in the field.

Project Pluses

The results of the Project will actively contribute to the preparation of an initiative on integrated child protection systems that the European Commission has committed to present in the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child by the contractor when the report is submitted.
